I didn't want 'perfect' wallpaper style but I didn't want it shoite either Hmm

It's supposed to look a bit like tin tiles. I've only done 4 and I'm just not sure. Opinions please.

I like it. Did you carry on?

Namechangearoonie123 · 14/08/2014 09:02

I did carry on because I couldn't decide, it's going to take me all week as it really needs to be dry before moving it - it's not perfect but the whole room is shabby style anyway so the hand printed look is probably something I can get away with in this room.

That's really good! Did you make your own stencil or use a kit?

Namechangearoonie123 · 14/08/2014 10:51

I bought a tile stencil from Amazon for a fiver Smile

I'm glad you think it's good, I did a lot of stencilling in the. 90's when it was fashionable but it's pretty unfashionable now I think. And I've totally lost the knack - I can't decide if it would look better perfect where I did it one at a time and then waited for it to dry or if the smudged/ printed look is better.

Rocket st George do tin tiled effect wallpaper but it's £70 a roll and I'm decorating on a shoestring after spending all my money on actual building work .

£70 a roll - wince!

I'll have a look at stencil kits. One of my dc is really getting into arty stuff.

I'd be interested in seeing the finished room, if you want to post a picture.
