dulux intense truffle in the bathroom?

We have a new build with a very basic but modern bathroom (no window). The tiles were chosen before we bought the property but I really like them.

There Isnt much wall in there to paint. It's sky blue at the moment but I want to re-paint it because my ds's room is sky blue as is our new nursery PLUS our bedroom is duck egg blue on the headboard wall. Blue blue blue blue don't know how it happened really.

It's a small, dark and modern bathroom. Shall I just paint it a dark colour? Thought it might look more classy. Or go the opposite way and do a lighter colour? Which would be the obvious solution but im not really trying to make it look bigger... it is what it is iyswim.

Would a picture help?!

Yes, embrace the dark. What colour are the tiles?

Hope this pic works. 50 shades of beige.

I'd get a dark wood loo seat, some old wood accessories, cocoa colour walls, and have a look at the Gudrun sjoden link... See what you think.

I'd definitely be looking for a big bath mat that adds the touch of whimsy.

I think the counterpoint to 'dark' is both 'character' and 'humour'...otherwise, you end up with...you guessed it.... 'Dreary'...

Potentially cosy bathroom. I might replace or paint the bath panel, if it were mine.

Sometimes its better to go with the dark. We have a small room which the DSs use as a tv room. Its dark and will always be dark despite the fat that I've kept the walls very pale and the ceiling white. So this time I'm going with a dark grey to give it a cosy feeling.
