Anyone got PVC vertical blinds?!!!

So we're moving into our new home in a couple of weeks & we didn't want curtains so we decided on blinds. We've chosen PVC vertical blinds & wanted blackout ones - we were advised the fabric ones aren't blackout. Anyway they seem practical enough, if anything is spilt on them it can be wiped off. Just wondering though what they actually look like when up, has anyone got these? Have I made a mistake - are they going to look ghastly?!!!! I've ordered a light grey colour!

I really hate them, they look really cold, clinical and like a 1980's office portakabin window dressing. Very hard to integrate into any style of decor.

Gulp! Oh well I am having second thoughts but having paid a deposit & placed the order I'm assuming there's no going back! Perhaps they'll not look too bad when up! I haven't really seen them up anywhere - only fabric ones, we wanted blackout ones for the kids bedrooms.

I like vertical blinds they are practical and controllable. They don't trap dust like Venetia blinds do.

Sorry, I have to agree, verticals look like office blinds.

I have fabric ones and really wish I'd gotten PVC as the fabric ones are magnets for cat hair.

My verticals have curtains too on the window to soften the look but they don't get used as the blinds are enough.

Bit institutional for me. Sorry.
