what size tablecloth?

My kitchen table is 90cm square. This seems a daft question but what size tablecloth would be best please? Not sure how much it needs to hang down. Looking at oilcloth ones in case that makes a difference at all. Am a bit clueless about table coverings! Smile

I am in no way an expert, but I would say about 20cm overhand on each side. So you need 130cm x 130cm?

I bought an oilcloth tablecloth recently from Next, was nice and reasonable cost I thought, about £25. I think it was 100 x 180cm which covers a 6 seater dinning table with a reasonable drop.

Then I went in Dunelm and realised I could have bought oilcloth by the metre. I don't think it would fray so wouldn't need hemming, and it's less then £6/metre so I'd have saved a fortune!

At Christmas I'm thinking I'll go and get something festive and see how long it lasts without hemming.

Actually, the tablecloths are really cheap anyway!

Looks like 132 x 132 is a standard size and would be just right for your table. Grin
