For the first time ever, I need to get custom curtains made, and I find it really hard to imagine what the actual curtains will look like in our room just from the samples. I'm worried about making an expensive mistake. Any tips?
(The curtains are for the lounge, where we have a "normal" window plus a patio sliding door/window going out to the garden. The curtains over the door and window cover most of that wall, so that's where I'm worried about ending up with something that will mess up the whole room.)
