What colours go with aqua/teal?

My daughter is trying to decide between two colours for her bedroom, one I'd say is more like an aqua colour, the other teal. She says she wants dark teal curtains but I think this will be overkill and maybe a bit dark, especially as she has a north bedroom. Can anyone suggest any colours which might compliment these colours - she is 13 years old.

I love purple and grey or white with tael and aqua colours.

Red and brown but used sparingly - that's for teal. If she uses teal for curtains I'd keep the walls white. But then I'm not 13 so she could play about a bit more

Cream, or orange although orange might be a bit loud.

Aqua looks good with yellow, gives a really summery beachy feel.

Bursts of hot pink can look great with teal too. Get her to check out aqua or teal bedrooms on Pinterest to see what she likes the look of.

Chocolate brown and ecru

Hot pink, bright yellow or orange, if she's feeling bold.

a splash of lime green

Odd bits of yellow/mustard and cream. Maybe a few other shades of blue.

Burnt orange.

Thank you. I'm decorating the room next week while she's away, which is good as we'll have an idea of how it looks before making any decisions on curtains and one or two accessories. I think it will be hard to find the dark teal curtains she wants, but at least I can give her a few others ideas colourwise to think about.

Our living room has a teal wall, hot pink accessories. Couches are brown and beige and have teal / pink cushions.
