Any Annie Sloan fans around??

I'm using Annie Sloan to repaint some bedside tables. I've already painted them in Emperor's Silk (red) and I'm using Florence (teal/green/blue) I'm going to use sandpaper to allow the red to show through under the blue.

I want a lighter turquoise than the Florence dries to (have already done a mirror - it's very green).

I have spent a fortune on AS paint and wax etc so am considering mixing the Florence with a cheap white matt emulsion to achieve the lighter colour. It would be about 1 part white to 3 parts Florence.
Has anyone done anything similar? Will it work? Or would I ruin the paint?

I haven't tried mixing AS with other paints but I would be worried how it would work out. I think I'd buy a tester pot of AS to mix to be safe, especially as you're sanding to reveal another colour underneath. Maybe someone else has tried it and can be more helpful!

Thanks ninja

I've bitten the bullet and bought a pot of white chalk paint. Didn't want to throw my hard work away on a corner cutting exercise!

Annie Sloan is bad for my bank balance Grin .

Where do you purchase your AS paint from. Is it very easy to use?

I got mine from here

Very very easy to use but worth watching a few you tube tutorials and reading a bit about it first.
