What colour goes with pale grey?

Oh somebody slap me! I have painted a kitchen table and chairs pale grey, that's not the problem, they look nice. BUT what on earth colour shall I now paint the walls? I always do this sort of thing and then get lost.

It's a small,sunny kitchen with light wood units and green/blue floor tiles.

Pale blue? A darker shad of grey? Tricky!

We have grey skirting & pale lilac walls, goes well

Grey is a really tricky colour - as I just found to my cost after spending ££££.

It really depends on the tone of the grey - blue green or brown. Different toned grey can clash horribly and so you need to really check the colours against each other as it is often not immediately obvious which "tone" a grey is

A deep wine colour would look nice, but only if it's a sunny room !
