Blinds and curtains on a bay window?

We have a 30's south facing bay fronted house. Upstairs, the curtains currently track around the bay window. They're blackout but it's still so bright in there. I wanted to fit blinds but they probably wouldn't fit with the curtain track would it?

The ceiling is dropped so we couldn't raise the curtains as they're already at the top.

What ways round are there? It's becoming unusable to sleep in as it's light from 3am.

Anyone?

Are the windows recessed?

Where is the light coming from? Consider a pelmet at the top to block the light. I find a bit of furniture to hold the curtains close to the wall at the sides. Make sure the curtains touch the floor and can overlap in the middle. Is the black out working?

If recessed blinds are a good idea - I reckon roman ones would be skinnier if the recess isn't big enough for roller. If all that fails try an eye ask [helpful]

The windows aren't recessed I don't think. They're similar in style to the one in the picture with a similar track set up.

A pelmet may be a good idea if I can source one to match the curtains, but the curtains don't go to the floor as we couldn't get off the peg ones to fit. They're a 70" drop instead. We do tuck them in beside DS1s bed as it runs alongside the window.

He did use an eye mask for a while but it made his eczema flare up, hence me asking about blinds. If only he'd share with DS2 in the back bedroom.

A pelmet can be made of wood and painted in to match your decor - our handyman has made ours.
You can use velcro circles which stick to the wall and stick your curtains to the wall to stop light getting in the sides.
If light is coming in underneath you will need floorlength - but it may be possible to put a wide border on the bottom of the curtains - I have done this before for clients (ex curtain maker)
Make sure you have an overlap arm on your track so that the curtains overlap not just meet in the middle.
