I have just had my fireplace suite replaced. Floor is currently carpeted, with quite thick underlay. I have really set my heart on wooden flooring this time. I did not realise this before, but the floor is very slopey - the fireplace is now built up about an inch on one side. Does this mean I can't have wooden flooring now? I think the only way it could be done would be to even out the floor but I don't know if this is possible.
