Just had my super duper kitchen installed - Howdens - OMG - they are brilliant - Burford Grey doors, oiled wood work tops, Villeroy & Bosch sink....pushed the boat out with white granite island as the Howdens white laminate looked awful.....need advice though. Have just installed AGA from Twyford AGA (fraction of the price but amazing refurbished 2nd hand in Pewter - AGA re-enamel these guys AGA's!) I want to put some kind if 'splash back' behind AGA - really don't want tiles as a bit 'old hat' - would like Perspex or glass - anybody got any experience of these???? Help - need to make decision fast!! Thank you - in anticipation :-))) sorry working mum trying to keep too many plates in the air!!

I have old hat tiles I'm afraid.

Zombie does as well.

Tiles too, but I saw one on TV the other day which had a slab of marble behind and it looked amazing, it was white veined in grey. It wouldn't need to be very thick either would it. You might get an offcut easily and have the edge(s) shaped or polished or whatever they do to finish it off.

We have a piece of steel? Spray painted black to match the granite splash back

We got a bespoke glass splashback, with the London tube map printed onto the back of toughened glass...

300 year old granite wall behind our 60 year old oil guzzler.... Love her when she's behaving!

Have dark green tiles with chunky grey grouting recessed in old fireplace (thank goodness painter was here when I decided, was going to do cream tiles and white grouting).

Check out fired earth. They may change your mind re tiles (gorgeous) but also have glass splash backs and stone.
