Curtain pole advice please

Our house has a strange window at the front with a tiny bit of wall to the right and large bit to the left. Any advice on how how best to put up a curtain pole.

It was suggested to put a recess bracket to the left and a finial on the right. DP really wants one of those crystal ball ones.
Do you think this would look odd? Or else have 2 finials as usual but obviously they would be slightly offset to the window

Excuse TV in middle of pic!

Curtain pole advice please

Yes it will look odd. Either have one curtain with tie back or get a blind.

Sorry I couldn't see your pic at first. Now I've seen it I'd say get a blind.

I suppose it depends on your personality really. I can't deal with anything that isn't symmetrical. But then again I am odd I think. Everything in my home is symmetrical :-)

To me a track or blind would be my only option.

Yes, in line with what you've said - either a recess bracket to the right of the window with a finial on the left hand end of the pole and one single curtain drawing to the left away from the window. Or a roman blind, fixed about 15cm above the window so the majority of the blind can draw off the pane and mounted with a chain or cord system to the left (remember when installing cord or chain operated blinds it's imperative to consider child safety - make it safe campaign has guidelines).
