Paint Choice for my Daughter's Bedroom Walls ....

I'm going to redecorate my DD's bedroom and she would like the colour pink for the walls.

I'm going to do all the woodwork white but need help on choosing the best pink. I don't want the colour to be very vibrant as a lot of her accessories are pink!

If anyone has painted their DD's bedroom and are really pleased with the choice of paint colour for the walls, please can you let me know what it was (pink or another colour), as open to advice.

Also, she is 7 years old.

Many thanks

a pale pink would probably look best - have you thought about painting only one of the walls in colour? she might not want pink when she's a bit older and it's easier to repaint one wall than it is to do 4.

We have just been through this! I had at least 10 different samples of pink, in the end we went for F&B Calamine, it is a really beautiful pink

Thank you both for your replies.

I can see me having ten tester squares all over the walls!!

I was trying to pinch other peoples choice of colours so I don't have to go through the torture of looking at some many pinks!

See - now i wanted to paint my DD's room pink and got around 20 tester pots painted up on some plaster board but in the end we went with an offwhite and a bright pink carpet/lamp etc you walk in and it does feel like a 'pink' bedroom - if you search google images for girls bedroom you can see the kind of effect i mean.

Crown do a lovely dusky pink called Pashmina.
