So we are finally getting round to decorating a room for our little girl (who is 1!)
The main wall colour will be cream but want to add some colour with pictures, curtains, duvet and rugs. I'd like to go with a pale green theme with pale pink highlights (but definitely not pink as the main colour).
And its bloody difficult to find pale green bedding that isn't old ladyish.

I've found some gorgeous curtains or fabric to make my own curtains in john lewis (photo hopefully has attached) but I don't have to go with this, but would be fab if I could find 2 single duvet sets that would go with these curtains. (Ideally 2 but if not possible then I'll just buy 2 sets of the same thing)

Also would prefer it to be 100% cotton, but if I have to go polycotton then I will in a last resort.
If anyone can help I will be very grateful as I am struggling!

thanks

same colours?

Depends on how old your DD is. Butterflies, woodland creatures, owls even fairies are possible, if you want to use the curtains simply as a woodland back drop.

Totally staying with the more grown up feel of the fabric is much harder without being very boring or very lucky.

It's gorgeous fabric. I want a very similar one from a Scandinavian shop to make a head board (and possibly curtains for our room).

What size bedding are you looking for? Is it for a cot?

burnishedsilver · 30/05/2014 11:46

Sorry, just read, its single size.

Laura Ashley have a set called candy stripe and another called Esme that are worth a look.

Burnishedsilver - that Esme set will be perfect, thankyou, I can't believe I didn't think of laura ashley and was searching department stores and ebay!
Nocomet - I can see why you want to use that material - it is really beautiful.
