Hallway - repaint woodwork? which feature paper?

Hi

We have a south facing reasonably spacious hallway and are looking to go light grey paint (either dulux polished pebble or engraved locket) and repaint the staircase/skirting/door frames etc in dark grey to make abit more of a statement.

Has anyone repainted their woodwork grey?

Also one downstairs and one upstairs wall will have wallpaper....which do you prefer?

HI, I absolutely love that first one - morocco indigo, that would definitely be my choice.

That was the first one out of 100's I was drawn to! The lady in the interiors shop put me off pairing it with grey though!

I love the first one too.

I prefer the second one. Not just the colour but the juxtaposition of plain and wallpaper.
I like them both, though!
