Hi all, I have recently decided to install the Howdens Tewksbury stone kitchen in my south facing kitchen with a black slate worktop. I have solid oak wooden floors and now need to choose a paint colour for the walls along with tiles.

I have a headache from pondering over the 132 Farrow and Ball paints and would dearly love some advice on colours. I am open to all suggestions.

Along with the kitchen I have 2 north facing rooms to paint - one is a bedroom and the other a small music room / office and am also stuck on which colours suit a north facing room.

Please can you inspire me - I am a little overwhelmed with the choices!

Thanks everyone.

Fram, I too have blackened currently in my kitchen and have loved it. Went really well with current steel grey cabinets. Not sure it would work with the stone coloured cabinets though so need a new colour......I'm just so stumped!!!

borrowed light is bluer.
When you say 'stone' do you mean a yellowy cotswoldy type stone? Or a grey stone?

Cabbage white is nice, and wouldn't be too cold in a S-facing room, but it's quite greeny, so would depend on the stone colour.

Personally I'd be going for something like cornforth white (i.e. grey)
