Kitchen handles. Vertical or horizontal?

I can't decide. Having a cream gloss kitchen with sort of bar handles and I can't decide which way round they should go. What do people think or have themselves?

Vertical on cupboards, horizontal on drawers. I have a mixture, looks good.

I agree, vertical on the cupboards and horizontal on the drawers. It makes the most sense for how you would want to open the cupboards and drawers and that's how most kitchens are.

Wonderful article that answered all my questions. Although uniformity looks good. ...I'm glad that a mix of vertical and horizontal also doesn't look out of place.
