Help with a decorating decision.

Hi need a quick decision as painter coming Monday!

Bedroom needs painting. Having white picture rail ad white above the rail. White flat wood work too.

Need a wall colour. Carpet is cream and so are curtains though can replace the curtains I suppose but carpet quite new.

I have lots of sage green bedding which I would like to carry on using.

Any suggestions for a wall colour? I usually go some shade of cream or white but it will look so washed out with a cream carpet and sagey bed linen.

Would a pale pink work? Or something else. My eyes are sore from looking at colours.

Grey?

Hmmm. Yes it would go I think. Very pale though might look a bit bleak in there with the pale carpet and bedding. A change from cream though!

We've just done our bedroom in Laura Ashley Pale Dove Grey. Also white picture rail / white woodwork and cream carpet. Have done a wall of wallpaper too (grey and a feature wall?? I'll be flamed on MN ) but it is a really lovely colour (imo), very calming. Got the paint at Homebase on one of their 15% off weekends.

Mushroom?

Is mushroom a bit brown though?

A kind of dusky purple might look good with sage green.

I like the idea of dusky purple but can't find a shade light enough.

That dusky fondant is lovely! So is the duck egg bedroom!

TBH I am letting my bed linen dictate the walls! If it weren't for the sage green duvet covers etc I would go direct to duck egg I think. I might just have to for get the bed linen and buy something else.

Thanks everyone, though I have more choices now! I should stick to white all through as I can't make a decision to save my life and DH is colour blind!
