Look at Pinterest for ideas. Also, is she very girly? In which case, bunting, white furniture, fairy lights seems the in thing.

My DD is now into Moshi Monsters so seem to have left the pink behind.

What are her interests? At that age, I'd ask for an idea of how she would like it and then do that within reason of course.

I don't have DD's. But as a child I had a pink, mint and silver colour scheme, very pretty and relaxing.

I've also seen a jenny lind style (spindle) bed in black which looks really great, the duvet was white and black, with yellow cushion. This could still look amazing in a room with blush pink walls. And would be quite a grown up colour for later.

It's hard to see any of the original walls under the weight of DD's artwork, shelves of tat, recycled sewing machines and the like, but I think it has mint, hyacinth blues and raspberry in there somewhere.

Just decorated my dd, s she is 4, she has white with a touch of pink paint (thinkmits blossom white) on 3 walls, then next wallpaper on one, with bright pink and green accessories.

I'd keep it fairly neutral - add colour with duvet sets etc so you can keep the carpet, curtains and wall colour for a few years! At 5, dd had cream walls with heart wall stickers, hearts duvet cover, hearts rug...
