What sort of dining table with a white gloss kitchen?

Please Help!
Moving into a new house, we are having a white handle less JL kitchen fitted, but I'm struggling with the sort of dining table to buy.
The kitchen diner is not large (hence the white gloss kitchen to brighten it up & making look bigger) we have seen a round glass one in JL, but I'm not sure! (Grandchildren!! )We are wanting a round/oval one. Do you think a pale grey distressed wood would go ok- or would it look ridiculous with the gloss units? I want the dining area to be plush, so bling light & comfy chairs a must.

Personally I like the juxtaposition between a sleek modern finish and something rougher and more natural.

I had a glass topped table in the past and didn't like it at all. It was hard to keep looking clean and I hated the cold feel and the sound of dishes hitting it

I was looking at this table today and wishing it was oval. Cos it would be prefect for us.

I also had a glass topped table and it was a nightmare for fingerprints and scratches. This is very similar to the glass on that you like, but it is in solid looking oak.
