Porcelain tiles in bathroom with young kids???

Am decorating a bathroom for the first time ever and therefore v clueless. Would it be crazy to put a MATT porcelain tile on the floor? Am wondering about kids slipping and smashing head .. Any thorts? Experience?

small children or not, I would always use non-slip floor tiles down.

My experience of matt tiles is they are very hard to keep clean. Porcelains will need special cleaners and treatments etc.

They are lovely but personally I wouldn't have them again on a floor with a family.

Are you having underfloor heating? Apart from anything else, a tiled floor could be quite cold?
