Hi all
I am planning to paint a pine dresser I have had for about 25 years.
Which is the better to use, Annie Sloan or Laura Ashley please?
I am boring and will be using a cream colour and won't be going for a distressed look.

Feedback/ideas as always very welcome please

Hi
I have been recommended to use Little Greene paints when I discussed painting kitchen cupboard doors with a decorator recently, I went in the shop asking about their chalk paint ie AS but she said is hard to use, another decorator told me steer clear of LA paints as not good!
Hope that helps :)

Annie Sloane is very easy to use, I painted a very rusty fire surround yesterday with it. I use Laura Ashley for walls rather than furniture. The fireplace is a lovely pale cream, think it's chalk white - looks like palest Jersey butter, would be great on a dresser

Laurie I'm looking to paint a fire surround too - I take it yours is not wooden?

We've just moved I to a new house and painted the wooden fire surround with Annie Sloan paints and found it went on really easily so much so we e painted an occasional table. I'd definitely recommend Annie Sloan. I've never used LA. Little Greene is also good though.
