Can anyone help me with colours, please?

Our lounge is small and not exactly the lightest room.

We have oak effect laminate flooring, 'classic cream' walls and two sofas - one dark brown leather, the other dark grey fabric. Only other furniture is a mango wood TV cabinet.

I'm now looking to soft furnish, but can't think what colours to go for - I'm thinking about a large rug, curtains and cushions.

Can anyone think what colours/ styles might work, please? I was thinking mid-mauve, sage green or just plain 'neutrals', but I'm not sure.

I have a 16 month old, so rug needs to be 'practical'

TIA

Thinking about the grey and leather, I think duck egg blue or a very pale blue would be a good as both go well with dark brown and grey. Sage green is another good one but might make the room darker.

raspberry pink?

Lime green would work with the brown and the grey as would duck egg blue or light teal.

Thre is lovely fabric here I'm going to get lampshades in it but they do cushions, fabric for curtains etc it is neutral with warm & cool tones so might be good with the browns & greys you mention?
