Mine currently house breadsticks for toddler and homemade granola bars.

In my country, bon bons are small individually wrapped chocolates so surprisingly that's what they often use bon bon jars for Grin

I have one in my bathroom full of exotic shells ( picked up from jumble sales|)

Meringue nests for decoration? You could colour some. Could you get a few more to make more of a display?

I have some smaller ones & have red lentils. Pasta, barley, rice, sultanas & sugar in mine.

I've got quite a few. Two in the bathrooms have shells we collected on beaches in France many years ago, when the kids were young and I have one in the bathroom with random twigs ( the kind you buy in a pack at home base!). Those jars are quite big - maybe eight inches high?

I've got a smaller one with polished stones - the kind of stones you use for jewellery making - snowflake obsidian, agate, that kind of thing. That's about 4 or 5 inches high.

Then I've got a massive jar with fir cones in - more case style really. A smaller jar would be too small for fir cones but it's an idea if you had some small cones.

That's a nice idea bumbum, I may steal that!

Bunches of dried herbs i.e. A bay leaf or two tied with a couple of sprigs of thyme and a sprig of rosemary.

I have lots of nice soaps so have a few in the bathrooms stocked with a lifetimes supply of soap.

Pantone363 · 22/04/2014 21:21

I keep flour in mine

With brown parcel labels saying plain or self raising. Tied on with twine. God I'm a wanker

MrsDexter · 25/04/2014 09:26

Where do you guys buy the jars from? Would now love some after this thread but don't wavt to spend too much :)

PhoebeMcPeePee · 06/05/2014 00:13

I've got masses of these for all my store cupboard essentials (various flour, rice, sugars, nuts, dried fruit etc). I've got blackboard labels & write what's in them in chalk. They look fab & just waiting to be displayed on open shelving in our new kitchen (we're currently saving for Wink)

Lioninthesun · 06/05/2014 15:16

Ones in kitchen house different types of pasta. Ones in living room house draft bits - buttons and ribbons. One in bathroom has small soaps and sachets from magazines/testers in it.
If you have lights in them, do you just use the battery lights? Do you turn them on a lot or forget? I like the idea, just not sure about practicality!

Lioninthesun · 06/05/2014 15:16

draft=craft!

Mordirig · 08/05/2014 22:26

Grin yes, yes you are a wanker pan but a wanker with pretty flour containers and that counts for something.
