Would painting the skirting white look odd when I have solid oak doors?

We have nice solid oak doors and the skirting is oak stained to match. However I really prefer white woodwork. Would it look odd to paint the skirting but leave the doors? We plan to put oak flooring down in living room and hall to replace cream carpet. Just can't quite visualise it all.

We have a lot of oak. We have painted our skirting a same colour as walls it looks much better than either oak or white

Given the door frame is white, white skirting is fine.

If you use Google images, you can probably find a photo of what you are planning to see if it suits.

Door frames are also stained oak.

I think the skirting should match the door frame

White frame, white skirting and wood doors can look very well together.

I have oak doors and white skirting. However, my door frames are white. Not sure how it would look with oak frames. You might have to consider painting the door frames as well but I say go for it. It looks good.
