Following lots of blogs etc I have repainted pine dining table in white emulsion. How shall I finish it? Some sites say Beeswax / Gloss / Silkwood paint - or varnish? It needs to be really good sealant as kids bound to spill things on table but lots of the gloss paints seem v toxic and unsafe if child eats food that has fallen on table?
