Colour for baby boys room

I'm starting to think about what colour we should paint our babies room while the plaster is drying.

Floors are oak, furniture is Freya Land stuff- a mix of dark grey with multicoloured knobs and pale grey with dark knobs. I have lots of framed posters I want to display which will look ok with white or blue walls. Haven't decided on blinds and curtains just yet but will be sticking to fairly neutral ticking stripes or gingham.

I had originally planned a pale grey or greige but am worried it will be too dull with the furniture. So I can't decide now between off white or pale blue. Is white too plain and cold for a child's room? I feel I should go for a colour.

Forgot to say, I'm draw. To a blue/green like Dulux Quintessential Blue or Favourite China/ Nerite Shell/ Atmosphere / Blue Danube / Country Blue, but I've used colours like these before and found them a bit cold.

Off-white would be something like Rock Salt or White Handkerchief or something creamier like Timeless.

Blue like Salcombe Sails, Mineral Mist, First Dawn, Blissful Blue or Distant Shores. Something pale and powdery (will need testers).
