What do you store all your dcs toys and books in? And where did you get it?

We've just bought some cupboards from the IKEA Stuva range for ds1. They're pretty deep so hold a lot of stuff, and there's the usual IKEA flexibility with different heights, shelves or drawers, doors or no doors or a mixture.

We also have Trofast units in ds2s room, and use Trofast narrower shelves above ds1s bed for books.

One day I'll buy furniture from somewhere other than IKEA again (when I win the lottery).

I had a whole wall of lower cupboards and upper open cubes (boxes) built up to the ceiling by a carpenter and then painted. In the cubes I had either books or baskets for the toys. In the lower cupboards we had bigger toy storage such as Lego, board games etc. Everything was behind closed doors or in baskets. A larger cupboard with bookcases above would work. Neptune do a few. We have one of their media cupboards which houses the computer and it's paraphernalia but, when not in use, the doors are closed. We also had a few toys in DCs bedrooms but they mostly played in the kitchen/sitting room area where I had the cupboards. If you have something built in you can make maximum use of space.
