I have looked at everything - engineered oak, sanding existing boards, amtico and laminate (the posh type) and can't decide! What do you have and do you recommend it?

I've got reclaimed oak and I hate it. It sort of looks dusty IYKWIM and unfinished. I might get it varnished at some point. Engineered is the way to go would be my opinion.

Oak flooring throughout the downstairs, it's been down 6 years we have 2 dc and 2 dogs and is still in perfect condition (don't do anything extra cleaning wise), not cheap though!
