Curtains - Am I Being Thick?

I am trying to sort out the nursery for impending DS2. I have curtain poles at the windows already. MIL is convinced that if I buy curtains for a track instead of a pole, I can buy hooks that will allow me to use the curtains on the poles. However, neither of us can find these mythical hooks. Does anyone know if they actually exist and if so where can I get them?

The hooks are the same on all of ours, but you hook them into the little screw-eyes on the curtain rings (or buy a load of those and bung them on, if not there already).
I'm now being shown adverts for curtains...

Just watch tho, as there will be a gap letting in light. You will need blackout blinds for keeping it dark.

For example these rings and these hooks -- would that do, or am I missing the point?

Huh? Curtains for tracks are exactly the same as curtains for poles aren't they? The only difference is the hooks you use. Or am I missing something? Confused

I have these which hook onto the header tape and then through the little metal bit on the bottom of the curtain rings.
