Ikea besta units. White or glossy white?

Hi

Can anyone please offer any advice?

I want to get a Besta cupboard and need it to be white

They do a 'flat' white for £170 or a 'high gloss' white for £290.

I think I prefer the high gloss white but DH is not impressed with the extra £120. It does seem rather steep....

So, is there a reason (other than personal taste) why I would get the gloss over the flat white?

Thanks

We have the basic white in our play room for exactly the reason you have stated and I really like it.

Thanks. I am so unsure. I wish I could see both! I am about 1.5 hours from 4 ikeas and none seem to have both in stock, never mind on display. Would they be able to tell me if they are on display if I call them, I wonder?

The white is fine. I couldn't justify the extra cost.

I am sure they will have them on display they are a top seller. The white is nice, it is not like some cheap stuff you get in Argos. It has a sort of satin look iyswim.

Thanks all. I will take a trip to one (which sells both) and see which I prefer in store...

We have the gloss grey ones. Love them but you do see finger marks on the cupboards doors.

Ah, athomewithcats. I just thought about that today!

Haven't been to ikea yet...

We have black-brown, not gloss, and they look nice. I probably wouldn't want the gloss anyway but it depends on your overall interior style, other furniture items etc.
