Hanging a large mirror.

I have a v large, heavy, wooden framed mirror to hang on an outside wall. Not sure of the best means to achieve this. I would like it to sit flat against the wall and for any fittings to be unobtrusive, or, preferably, not visible. Any advice would be most welcome. I will need to employ a handy man for the task, so wish to be clued up beforehand.

You will need to use frame fixings. These are a bit like rawl plugs but bigger. They are readily available from any good hardware/ironmongers and are what window fitters use. If the walls are the cavity type you will need to use a special flanged fixing; again ask advice at independent store ( not homebase/ B &Q

Thank you, Amla, there is an old-fashioned hardware shop in a local town. Will try there.
