Curtains/Blinds for A Conservatory.....Any tips?

Due to my now fostering a teenager,I am going to turn DD's playroom (a conservatory) into a snug so all kids have another space to use. My problem is it faces South West.
I can deal with the cooling/heating of it but there would be no hope of them watching TV/using computers without any window coverings.

Getting blinds made to fit the conservatory is serious £££ which I just don't have.
Just wondered if anyone come up with an alternative or had any ideas of what I could do?

Have you looked at Perfect Fit blinds? we put white thermal blackout blinds on our french doors in the living room for this reason - SW facing and glare on TV.

Hello not sure if you will have bought something by now, we priced conservatory blinds and I was flabbergasted at the price!! We got some thermal blackout roller blinds from the range and put them up, cost less £60 I think! They just go up like normal blinds, the guys who came round to give us quotes explained how they fitted them, so dp was able to put them up himself. He is quite handy though, but it seemed fairly straightforward!

I have a conservatory kitchen but is faces north and east so less direct sun. I do have a tv in the kitchen though. Conservatory blinds are expensive and trap flies. Better to go with roller blinds on the side windows if you can mount them as they are way cheaper. Or wood slatted blinds (venetians) look good and have more control over the light they let in. I would see whether this works because if you have a glass roof, there are lots of problems getting blinds for this. I have heard about a "sail" solution but it is a giant fly trap. I would see if you can manage without the roof having a blind. I have a very large lantern roof and I love being able to see the changing sky whilst I am cooking. I don't actually want blinds to obscure the feeling of light and space my glass roof has provided.

The answer is....
SUN PROTECTION film.
It reflects the light and heat.
There are different thickness gauges so you can have very little light/heat or just reduce the existing amount slightly.

A fraction of the cost of blinds....
