Some lovely christmas decorations for next year?

For years, I've felt that I could make my house look a lot nicer at Christmas with some better decorations. But I am not very traditional although we live in a big Edwardian house. I like Scandi-style for instance. I tend to buy felt or wooden decorations for the tree.

We have a decent sized fake tree, one wreath, some mini trees & mini decorations for the kids rooms, small set of bunting and thats it. Looks a bit rubbish since we moved to the bigger house. I would like a few more wreaths (the fresh ones round here are tacky as anything!), something to twine around the bannister, more pretty decorative lights and a few other things to put in the hallway, on mantelpieces etc. I thought of getting a fake wooden tree such as the kind that White Company or Cox & Cox do & hanging with a few beautiful decorations. Also considering a real tree next year which I think the kids would like. We killed off our real ones a week before chairman last time dp & I tried thus the fake! Any links, ideas?

My friend has a shop and she has hung on a wall, a big branch and suspended furry and brightly coloured pom poms from it.

It looks fabulous and I am going to copy the idea for next year.

Thank you Sunday, that sounds lovely. Think I saw something similar in a local house too.

Did you see Alex Polizzi's christmas fix, fab ideas, it was on just before Christmas but I watched it on BBC iPlayer just after.
