Hi would someone be able to help me, I'm about to tip myself over the edge in a world of google searching kettles and toasters!!
We've just got a new kitchen and I'm desperately looking for the right kettle and toaster but everything I love is to over priced. My DH is tight raises his eyebrows and anything over £100 for both.
The kitchen is a country kitchen with oak units painted in bone. The one we have agreed on it the Kmix in almond but It just doesn't feel like the one to me!!! I love dualit but the toasters I like are £130.
Please if anyone can point me in the right direction of something amazing Smile

I've had a Dualit toaster for over 10 years & it's still going strong. I know they're expensive (mine was a Christmas present) but I think they're a classic & will probably outlive several cheapie ones.
My Dualit kettle lasted a year, it's replacement under warranty lasted 18 months. I gave up & now have a boring but reliable Russel Hobbs.

I'm also going to be spectacularly unhelpful and 2nd the dualit. I bought mine on offer so got the 4 slice one for under 150. We had them at uni and I figured if drunk students couldn't break them, then it should last us years! Plus the whole thing is replaceable so can be repaired.

Not sure about kettles, mine's also a dualit, coming up for a year, so shall be holding my breath as per pp experience!

Thankyou, think I'll defo go for the dualit. I might then see if I can find a cheaper kettle . Think I'll hang on for the January sales and then hopefully I'll get a bargain Grin

I would dualit it too for your style of kitchen. I have country style gloss cabinets making it a bit modern and have the K mix kettle and a cheaper Russell Hobbs toaster. The K mix has a lovely shape!!

I'd say Dulit too! my toaster is 14 years old now! DH was shocked at cost when I bought it but it outlived all other toasters. My Dulit kettle is about 3 years old and still going strong.

Sorry Dualit! Don't Know what my phone was doing there!

Dualit toaster here too. Just bought the Sage one with different temperatures (who knew you could/needed to) as well as the Sage Heston coffee machine.

Thanks all, I ended up deciding to go with red and my tightwad DH would not let me get a dualit!! I've ordered delonghi icona for both. I hope they r nice and the red not cheap looking. One day I shall have my dualit Grin
