This is for my mum who needs help with a small kitchen in new house that she cannot rip out sadly. She has Churlish Green and Pointing in the rest of the hallway leading to the open kitchen.

The cupboards are standard white that can be painted. There are a lot of them, top and bottom. She has to keep the Cornish blue colour tiling unfortunately but can change flooring. So basically she needs ideas for small areas of wall and cupboards that will go with the tiles and black work top. Would be very grateful for any advice as my bedroom is starting to look lovely thanks to all the suggestions from mumsnet!

Borrowed light, lulworth blue or cooks blue. All would look great with black worktop.

Not clear on what the floor was?

Sorry. I wasn't clear.

Perhaps do the wall in borrowed light or skylight and cupboards in lulworth blue or cooks blue.

It's hard to gauge without seeing a picture of tiles or a link to similar.

The tiles are very similar to Cooks Blue actually. The floor is oak but I wondered if Cooks Blue on units, do you think New White would give that Cornishware look or is it too white?

New white might look good actually ! What about changing the handles to black ones ( to match in with the worktop ) too ?!?!
