Everhot 60

Does anyone have a Everhot 60 and if so are they too small for family use? We have a single fitted oven at the moment and gas hob which we are looking to replace. Due to kitchen size it can only be replaced by another single oven or something else like the Everhot 60.

Weirdly we have a very large kitchen area (so overheating shouldn't be a problem) but due to odd wall angles not much available space for units - hence only having room for a single oven. Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ooh I want one of these, well preferably bigger but so much money!

lexie01 · 26/11/2013 18:34

I know they are expensive but as I have a tiny kitchen I thought I would treat myself on the appliances

I have decided to buy the everhot100 I am waiting for the right moment to tell my DH. Grin

Good luck on telling dh. If he is anything like mine he won't see the point of spending £££££ on a cooker!

I guess the fact that I am not having many replies suggests the Everhot 60 may not be a family oven. Are there any MN's who has experience of one?

OP do you need your cooker to heat your kitchen in addition to cooking food? I presume the 60 gives out ambient heat like the bigger models.

lexie01 · 27/11/2013 09:01

Hi, we do have a freezing kitchen so yes any extra heat would be beneficial. We have old quarry floor tiles laid on ash so your feet freeze as soon as they touch them! Not nice first thing in the morning.

I would have loved one but the cost and then the running costs are extortionate so the idea was thrown out.

lexie01 · 28/11/2013 09:13

Last bump....surely there must be mn's out there that has or knows someone who has a Everhot 60????

Suspect most of those who look at them have a larger model.

Tombelaneige · 02/12/2013 17:58

I have a 90plus and the two ovens and hot plates are exactly the same on the 60. Really big ovens. Go for it!

Alwayscheerful · 02/12/2013 21:26

Tombelaneige - what colour did you buy? I can't decide between white and graphite. Does it give out sufficient heat in your kitchen?

Tombelaneige · 03/12/2013 18:13

I went for the classic cream which I love. Yes it gives out enough heat to make the kitchen comfortable without any extra heating on, but not so much as an aga. It also dries washing beautifully on a line strung up above it. If I had a smaller kitchen and only space for a 60 I wouldn't hesitate to get one. I haven't used the extra simmer plate on the 90plus yet, and the controls would be just fine in an adjacent cupboard rather than built in.

Merrylegs · 03/12/2013 18:22

Hello hello only just seen this. I have one. I love it. Am warming my behind as I type. Ovens are huge. Hotplates can get squashed but you do most things in the oven. Ask away.

Alwayscheerful · 03/12/2013 19:47

Thank you Tombelaneige - can you choose where the controls go? I am thinking of having the model with hot plates and a halogen hob.

Tombelaneige · 03/12/2013 20:38

It's just the 60 that has the controls as a separate box to be popped inside a cupboard or to sit on the work surface. The other models all have the controls built in behind a door on the front of the appliance.

Alwayscheerful · 03/12/2013 20:50

Thank you, so much, that's a great help to me.

Bizibee3 · 25/03/2014 10:06

Hi Alwayscheerful. Did you order a 60 in the end? There is an Everhot Facebook page and a long chat site in Allaboutyou if you are interested in more info.

rogerfowle · 19/02/2015 17:05

Hello: I have an everhot 60 for sale. Around 8 - 10 years old, in full working order, and for sale at offers over £1750. They are around £4600 new, plus around £300 delivery and installation. I should add that we have another 60 which we use, very satisfactory. Both ovens are larger than Aga's, and it caters well for parties of six or eight.
If you are interested, I'll let you into the secret of why we have two of them - bit of a long story, down to lack of communication!

Regards
