What do we think? Keep seeing these everywhere and in need of a new floor lamp in our sitting room (DS broke the last one). But am slightly suspicious that they might be so ubiquitous now that they are going to look very dated in about 5 years.

I like them. I'm thinking 'design classic' rather than fashion piece.

Ooh I was just about to post the same question! There's a lovely one on made.com with a spotlight style shade which is slightly different to the ones I've seen elsewhere. I'm veering towards design classic.

They're lovely to look at but they look as if they take up a lot of floor space and could be a bit of a trip hazard unless right in a corner.

these are expensive but the pinewood one is a real hollywood/1930s number!

I like their stuff - really good quality

Graham and Green do a gorgeous one - also like Habitats wooden one with a drum shade. They are bit pricey though!

Sainsbury's Tu range has one £70! Really smart.

I think this one is quite elegant for the price m.wilko.com/wilko/product/detail.do?itemId=0326001
