Furniture for new home

Hi!

We are looking to buy our first home and are looking for some ideas for a nice neutral coloured sofa (browns or creams) that isn't too expensive but that will last a good while! We do have two cats with claws that seem to love leather so think we might have to go fabric?? However I am a bit worried about the potential cleaning required!!??

Also we are looking for a set of living room furniture (cabinet, tv stand etc) that is quite rustic looking and will fit in with a neutral theme. Budget is tight unfortunately :-(

IKEA have basic neutral sofas with washable covers

Is it a new house? if not, perhaps you could look to buy any existing furniture that is in the house you are buying.

if it is a new house, I would definitely check out ebay or gumtree - you'd be surprised at what you might be able to find.
