Is it because they're not the main feature generally so plain and simple/dull helps to keep the attention away or have I not ventured far enough? Have just been looking at BHS, Next, Heals (£££), Argos and Ikea and nothing inspiring.
I'm looking to replace rather dull steel ones with frosted glass around the lightbulb on my stairs as well as some in my conservatory. I initially have gone for a period style shabby chic/country cottage look as it's a Victorian house but I'm bored now and want to mix it up a bit. Love Scandi and could even go a bit more modern. I like the garden type outdoor lamps which look a bit industrial for the stairs. Not sure what for my conservatory/ boot room that we enter the house through- just had a big armchair recovered in bright stripes and its got some old wooden furniture and I'm going for a warm mushroom/grey on the walls.
Any ideas welcomed.
