We have just taken the wall down between dining and kitchen and it looks fab. The problem is that now the old dining room bit has become a family room and the kids and husband want a tv in there (im more of a radio girl). I never found curtains or material that i felt went in the dining rom so they havent got any wall covering but now they need something as come the afternoon or early evening they wont be able to see the darn thing.
The window faces due west. It is a solid oak window and door combi stained a darkish oak. The windows are 140cm high by 70 cm wide and there is quite a deep window sill with a radiator under both of them and the double french window sandwiched in between. My husband has suggested shutters but i have them at the front of the house and find them a bit of a faff and dont want to spoil the view to the garden. The room is about to be decorated a pale green and the sofas are a deep wine colour.
Can anyone come up with a covering solution for me please?

I've got a similar situation and I've just ordered some Ronan blinds to go on ours.

I'm not sure how the roman blinds could work as on the window bit they would need to attach to the frame and on the door to the actual door itself if you seem what i mean? So they would be at different levels and i suppose i would need some sort of pelmet to counteract that?
Voiles - are they a bit last year? I don't know?
