Pure white or white with speckle worktop?

Having north facing kitchen fitted with units painted Dulux Natural Taupe.
I would very much like white quartz worktop but not sure whether pure white will be too clinical/ a pain to keep looking clean. Should I opt for slight speckle? Anyone any experience with pure white?

I think the speckle would be a bit more forgiving. My friend has a white work top and it sounds like a pain to keep looking good.

I have a cream laminate work surface and absolutely detest it as it stains so easily. Curry, red wine, tea you name it!

Thanks, you're prob right. I've got laminate atm and put small amount of neat bleach on stains. Wait a short while then rinse off. Having said that, it's speckly, so prob can't see the stains!
