Hi

I have chosen a f&b colour for my sitting room. I thought that's was the hard part over! Now my decorator recommends getting dulux mixed.or should I get the proper f&b .. Any ideas if it looks any different ?
Thanks

IMO f&b does look different - we've got a deep colour in our kitchen & it really does have a depth of colour that you can't get from a brand like Dulux. Our decorator said the f&b paint was really nice to use too - goes on v smoothly.

We used a F & B paint in the dining room in our old house and I always loved the way the colour changed through the day: it had a lot of character. In our new house we chose curtain material for BabyBearleigh's room that meant that colour would be a good choice and we went for the Dulux equivalent. I don't like it as much. The colour never changes, it's a bit flat.admittedly I don't spend as much time in that room as in our old dining room and it faces a different way which may make a difference. But in future I will always pay the extra for the re F&B. (Unless hoards of MNetters say otherwise)

Have just used F&B for the first time in our kitchen (used modern emulsion rather than the flat finish as I need it to be slightly wipeable!). Was amazed at how little paint I actually used to get the coverage, it went on really smoothly and has given a lovely finish.

As you can probably tell, I have been converted and would say it is worth the extra £.
