Colour scheme with turquoise sofa?

We have a plain turquoise Designers Guild sofa and a charcoal wool rug and I want to redecorate the room around these. I am thinking of having plain white walls, white shelving unit but am a bit stuck otherwise. Dont mind other wall colour ideas either.

I like Living etc, Conran, Graham and Green, modern eclectic style stuff. Any help appreciated!

I would probably look for grey and white patterned cushions to go on those sofas. Sounds lovely by the way!

choose one more accent colour and do the rest in grey and white. I'd go for hot pink or sunshine yellow personally. bright and funky. I am a bit of a colour addict though!

I would go for neutral with the curtains otherwise it could look a bit much. Grey to match the rug I think.

I agree with cup0coffee - match the curtains to the rug - or if you think that wouldn't work then plain white like walls ! The curtains shouldn't be the feature here ! With pops of colour from the cushions - the sofa will be star of this room !!

help again please - I really like this colour scheme (especially the cow parsley paper) and grey (or white) paint on other walls - how would this look with the turquoise sofa? or will it look insane rather than stylishly eclectic?? I will probably go for those curtains too as my only other option is to make some silk ones myself (can't afford to buy them as need made to measure)
