What colour do I paint the dado rail?

I've chosen the colours that I would like to paint my living room but I'm in a quandary about what colour the dado rail should be painted!

The room is fairly large and has both coving and a dado rail. It's not a period house but I'm not planning to get rid of these 'features' during the decoration process. I would like to paint the ceiling some kind of white, three walls fairly neutral (perhaps dulux Egyptian cotton) and one wall something brighter (perhaps dulux proud peacock).

But what do I do about the dado? Do I a) paint it white on all walls to match the ceiling, b) paint it the same colour as the wall ( i.e. Three walls Egyptian cotton dado and one wall peacock) or c) paint the dado Egyptian cotton on all walls.

Argh? Help!

I think that's what I'm leaning towards too but a white stripe is going to make it fairly obvious so want to be sure Confused

I would go for white or the Egyptian cotton. The Egyptian cotton will help tie the whole room together. I remember my mum silver leafing the Daido (sp) all the way through our house Grin strange woman!
