Where to buy new curtains?

I would like to get some lined curtains for my dd10 room.
I don't have a large budget but would like some curtains that will last.
I have a John Lewis near me but have not looked there yet.
Any recommendations?
I'm near cambridge.

If you look on eBay there are lots of made to measure Curtain companies at reasonable prices. Or if your windows are standard then there are thousands of curtains!

Thanks Cheryl, I didn't think of eBay

We got some beautiful floral pink and green for living room. Fully lined. Needed shorter ones for window at front and longer at back and got them made to measure on eBay for a really good price.

We got some lovely blackout lined curtains from Next Home for our DS's room. Very reasonably priced and lovely quality.

Tried dunelm?loads of curtains there

I was also going to suggest Dunelm. I got some nice ones there for our living room but watch the quality. I took them back 3 times because they weren't hanging straight. No way could I live with lopsided curtains.

Another vote for dunhelm mill.. We bought good pairs.. Very happy with them

John Lewis have a make up service, although not cheap. Dunelm is good and not pricey as too is Terrys fabrics (can buy on line). The Natural Curtain Company is good.

Maybe a manufacturing fault?were they good about swapping them icecreamcrow?i have to say ive always bought mine from dunelm, ive noticed that they have a lot of choice compared to other places.

They were fine about it but I was starting to lose hope. In the end I had them opened up in the shop and we were laying them out on the big fabric cutting table to check themGrin. My window is quite big and any slight discrepancy was quite noticable (plus I am the worlds biggest fusspot Blush)

I would still buy from them again though. Didn't want to spend hundreds getting curtains made because I'd feel I'd never be able to justify changing them.

One thing I do like about DM are the thermal liners they sell to hang behind curtains.

Oh im loving that they sell ready made linings and they do eyelet type as well.no sewing for me!
