Karndean Spring Oak - anyone got it?

Thinking of having Art Select Spring Oak for the entire downstairs and was wondering if anyone else has it?

Is it realistic wood effect when laid (looked it in the shop but only saw a small sample) and has it worn well?

TIA

not spring oak but i have classic oak (think van gogh). put down over a year ago and is as good as new.

We had Karndean put in our dining room and hall 8 years ago, it has scratched quite badly and has indentations from furniture in it. I suppose it's ok...but I wouldn't use it again.

Not sure it really looks like real wood either.

We have the Karndean oak in the downstairs loo next to actual oak in the hall. It is about 3 years old and looks good as new so wears brilliantly and very easy to clean. I would say that it looks reasonably realistic but the difference is it doesn't wear like wood (or feel like it!).

FirskyMare - can I ask what type of Karndean you had put down?

Yes! Love it!

It's in our kitchen/dining/playroom area. Looks great.

I wouldn't say it looks like really wood as such, but it doesn't look like Lino, and it looks new still despite 2 years wear and tear. Hides stains which is invaluable with small children! I love it.

We have the French Oak in hallway and kitchen and love it so much we're about to have it laid through the rest of the downstairs! There's a couple of scratches that I know are there, but you'd never notice in a million years.

We're looking at Moduleo which is a competitor to Karndean as they make luxury vinyl flooring too, just been sent some samples and they look gorgeous.

They do some nice Oaks www.moduleo.co.uk/flooring-finish/wood-flooring/oak

More on their flooring here if you're interested www.moduleo.co.uk/luxury-vinyl

ive got hickory nutmeg I think it's called - from the Art Select range. It is quite dark and has woodgrain indented into it; most people think it is real wood. It's warm and not as hard as wood - I have it in my open plan kitchen/sitting room and needed a flooring for both (warm and waterproof) and it is excellent.
