Help me find a squashy brown sofa?

Our dearly departed pet cat shredded our old sofa, and as we will be catless for a while I'd like to buy a new one.

My ideal sofa would be the one from Frasier's apartment (which I believe is a copy of one Coco Chanel had). I can't find a good picture of it online.

Something else I have in mind is a squashy corduroy sofa like my parents had in the 80s. I would actually really love one, but I'm worried it could date very quickly, if they haven't already! I saw this one www.scs.co.uk/product/fabric-sofas/panama-3-seater-sofa-standard-back/ in the coffee colour, and liked it. But then I saw this different colour version on eBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panama-3-Seater-Sofa-Mink-Beige-Ex-Display-Bargain-CP158-/140994701371 and I think it looks poorer quality. Perhaps it's a very tired ex display model though.

The sofa we have now has always been rather uncomfortable, and I want one I can fall asleep on! Any thoughts/guidance welcome!

I've been looking for a really large squishy sofa as well, but in leather.
Anyway on my travels in search of "the" one, I came across this

www.buoyant-upholstery.co.uk/products/modular/dexter

it was sooo comfy that I came back home & phoned Buoyant up to see if they did something similar in leather - they don't, but if I wanted a fabric one, then I would go for the Dexter range as it was just so comfy.

Regarding your links - if the one that's on ebay is ex display, then I'd be really worried about the longevity of that model in the first place!

Yeah, I decided against that one! Homebase has a brown sofa in jumbo cord, but it's cheap enough to make me worry about the quality.

Its probably the choice of cushion filling that will determine how comfy it feels and whether it will last well. We found a really comfy corduroy one in DFS and it was lovely and squishy because it was feather filled, but the salesman said that if you don't plump the cushions every night it will start to look really saggy. Most people opt for the foam filled, which are a bit bouncier and not so marshmallowy but easier to keep looking nice.

I've just bought one from Harveys which is similar. it hasn't arrived yet so i cant fully comment on quality but we thought it was a good deal when we saw it in the shop. we are not having it as a main living room sofa though. It's for our 'snug' so we are not too worried if it looks a bit 'lived in'! www.harveysfurniture.co.uk/mobile/ProductDetail.aspx?sID=5627&sia=2588&pId=11325
