What colour curtains for DD's room?

I'm going to move my DD into what's currently our guest bedroom soon. The walls are pale lilac and I'm not planning on repainting. We're putting in a pale grey carpet and already have sandy beige fitted wardrobes. Also planning for white wooden furniture.

So I'm really not sure what colour curtains will work, or mabe pattern? DD is nearly 3 so nothing too grown up, yet nothing too babyish that she will outgrow quickly. Not picked bedding yet but probably something typically girly - ie pinky white! Would a darker auberginey purple look too dark?

I think a purple would be great and girls often go through a purple stage at some point anyway. You could make some out of purple gingham if you want it to be lighter. My girls wanted pink but I couldn't bear any more pink so they got pink gingham and it looks lovely.
