Plain walls, patterned feature wall (paper), plain or patterned curtains? Pls help!,

Just decorated tv room, cream walls with a light grey picture rail, and a Grey/cream large patterned wallpaper on one wall - looks awesome and don't want to spoil it...

So... Plain or letter ended curtains? One window right next to feature wall..

I was just thinking 'what are letter ended curtains? will have to google that'!

I remember being told that you should treat a papered wall or patterned curtains in the same way you would a very large piece of artwork. So you don't want to compete with it but to tone in and complement it.

Personally I would go with plain curtains, probably in a pale grey from what you have said of the room's colours and then you could always get cream tie backs or something to tie it all together?
